About Me
Hey Everyone,
I’m Farshad, and since you’re on this page, I’d like to thank you for wanting to get to know me (maybe one day I can even get to know you). This website is all about me trying to grow as I go. I want to become the best version of myself and this website is my way of documenting that story. That being said, I could tell you that I love science, music, and all things related to living a happy meaningful life. However, those are all things I'm sure you will come to learn if you decide to join me each week. In the spirit of this website and my goals, I thought it would be more important for me to tell you what I want to like and who I want to become. |
I want to be a person filled with passion that take on world changing projects. I want to read more, so I can dream with my eyes wide open. I want to travel the world, be a better person, and share stories that help inspire others. More importantly, I want to be what Aristotle describes as a virtuous person. That is to be a person who does the right thing, at the right time, in the right way, in the right amount, towards the right people. I know that probably sounds super unspecific, but apparently - according to Aristotle - you don't need to be specific because a virtuous person just knows what to do all the time. How am I going to be that person? Well, I honestly don't know. If I did then I probably would've done it by now. However, I do know that virtue is a skill that is learned through experience and that character is built through habituation. So if I have to force myself to emulate the virtuous qualities of others over and over again until it becomes ingrained in my character, then so be it.
I can't wait to share my thoughts and adventures with you (my amazing new friend). Hopefully, you can learn through some of my experiences and together we can grow as we go.
Sincerely,
Farshad Murtada
